∞-mortise and tenon




When ancient remains are found in the archaeological site, they always appear in the form of negative foundation. Archaeologists will illustrate how remains originally looks like based on the form of the foundation and old documents.

Inspired by this interesting phenomenon in archaeology field. The project “∞-mortise and tenon” fabulize a future city which composed by several wild structures. Each wild piece is constituted by two parts: one negative part which will provide space and one positive part casted from the negative part and work as wall or entrance.

“∞-mortise and tenon” blur the boundary between interior and exterior, landscape and architecture, public and private.

It create a house in a city size, allow people begin their nomad life from one wild space to another. A no-stop city beyond nation and race will appear and break the current closed daily circle
