<Cavern of Saline Genesis> relates the reproduction tactics with fertility folklore. The project explores decolonizing the body through investigation of local beliefs and folk medicine knowledge related to salt and fertility, as well as new technology of using salt caverns for energy storage.
Some governments use the population as an important means of economic development. They forcing the young generation to get married for offspring and is actively blocking LGBT movements. This is an act of colonizing the body. In this project I speculate on an alternative fertility system where reproduction is no longer solely reliant on human bodies to counter current policy.
